Police say a man was seriously hurt in an early morning attack in Central Islip.
According to police, the unidentified 32-year-old was dropping off a friend on Oakland Avenue early this morning when he was attacked through his car window. The man's friend was also robbed and hurt.
Police say some sort of knife was used as a weapon.
