A man who went on a violent crime spree after Superstorm Sandy has been sentenced.
Artie Jackson was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison this afternoon.
Officials say Jackson preyed on Sandy victims left without power.
According to prosecutors, Jackson broke into an East Garden City home where he sexually assaulted a woman and tried to strangle her.
Jackson also broke into several other homes in the days after Sandy.
