A car accident on the Southern State Parkway has left one man dead and three others injured, including two young children.Police say the incident happened near exit 17 around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Officials say the 2000 Jaguar was filled with five people and driven by 29-year-old Salih Townsley, who they say was under the influence of drugs.According to police, Townsley lost control of his car and slammed into a tree. A witness told News 12 Long Island that one of the children was ejected from the car. He said he saw her lying the woods, crying and covered in blood.The two children were taken to Nassau University Medical Center and Winthrop University Hospital. Police say Townsley's passenger in the front, 43-year-old Stephen Stanley, was killed from injuries sustained in the accident.Townsley faces charges of manslaughter and driving under the influence.
