Suffolk police say a man was hospitalized after a stabbing Saturday in Holtsville.

It happened around 11:40 a.m. at a residence on Vautrin Avenue.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Officers say they arrested a suspect, who is an acquaintance of the victim, a short time later.

The case remains under investigation and further details were not released.
