A man was arrested for arson in connection with a fire in Uniondale.
Jose Rubi Alvarado, 29, who is undomiciled, started the fire at an abandoned building, Nassau police say.
The incident happened inside an NUMC-owned property on Jerusalem Avenue at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, according to officials.
The Nassau Fire Marshal’s office tells News 12 the man was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
He is set to face a judge on Tuesday.
