A Lindenhurst man has been arrested after police say he stole a car from an auto shop in Bethpage.

The incident happened on Thursday morning.

Detectives say 34-year-old Craig Bilozur got into a gray Mercedes Benz at Andy’s Auto Repair on Hicksville Road and sped off.

An employee then was searching for the car and saw it near an intersection close by.  Bilozur got out of the Mercedes and ran away.

He was located and arrested a short time later.   Bilozur is due back in court later this month.
