The man accused of shooting a Suffolk County police officer has been indicted on charges of aggravated attempted murder.
Court records show Sheldon Leftenant, 22, will be arraigned on those charges on Friday.
Last Wednesday, Leftenant allegedly shot Officer Mark Collins in the neck and hip during a traffic stop in Huntington Station.
Collins was released from the hospital on Sunday.
