A Glen Cove grocery store worker is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl and exposing himself to another girl while he was working last month.
Edward Ramirez, 43, allegedly exposed himself to a 7-year-old girl in the Stop & Shop on Forest Avenue in Glen Cove on Nov. 24.
When she ran to get her mom, police say Ramirez exposed himself to the girl's 5-year-old sister and forced her to touch him.
According to the city of Glen Cove, Ramirez was an exemplary employee for the last three years as a seasonal worker in the Parks Department. He will not be eligible for employment next year.
Ramirez was arraigned on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police are asking anyone who thinks their child may also be a victim to call the Glen Cove Police Department at 516-676-1000 or the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022.
