A Flanders man is accused of jumping out of a moving minivan to evade police officers.
Southampton police say Saul Hernandez was spotted driving erratically on Flanders Road on New Year's Eve.
When officers attempted to pull him over, he allegedly jumped out of the van and started running while the minivan was still moving.
A passenger inside the vehicle was able to stop the van.
Hernandez, 29, was apprehended a few hours later.
He is charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and reckless driving, along with several vehicle and traffic code violations.
