A homeless man pleaded not guilty Tuesday after being accused of hurting an East End police officer.
Michael Davis was arraigned on assault and obstruction charges.
Police say the 22-year-old struggled with an officer in a Southold courtroom Monday. They say moments earlier, Davis threatened to harm himself and others.
Davis was in court because he allegedly went into a Greenport house with an air gun.
Investigators say Davis' girlfriend Nyasia Coach was also arrested because she tried to stop officers from taking him into custody.
