A Brentwood man is facing charges for allegedly abandoning his dog.
The Suffolk SPCA says the 2-year-old pit bull mix, named Creed, was found abandoned in Holtsville back on Jan. 18.
Creed had a cut on his paw that was left untreated, and was covered in blood.
The SPCA says 20-year-old Caciem Kruer was arrested Friday in Farmingville.
He is charged with abandonment and cruelty to animals for lack of veterinary care, both misdemeanors.
