A reputed gang member accused in the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old girl in Hempstead has pleaded not guilty.
Police say Bloods member Jakwan Keller fired a shot at a home on Dartmouth Street in Hempstead in October.
According to police, the bullet hit and killed 12-year-old Dejay Joyner while she was eating dinner.
Police say Keller fired shots in retaliation for a hoverboard robbery.
Defense lawyers say there's evidence showing Keller is innocent.
