Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday appointed Christine Clarke as the chair and commissioner of the City Commission of Human Rights.

Clarke has a background serving low-income New Yorkers through means of policy advocacy.

Clarke has also worked with local organizations to lead lawsuits against government agencies across the city.

Clark shared that she will invest time in protecting small businesses from unfair practices.
