A nor'easter that walloped Long Island with gusty winds and snowfall has shifted to a wintry mix and rain, and News 12 meteorologists say it won't be fully gone until Wednesday.

For today, expect cloudy skies with periods of rain and snow showers. Slushy minor accumulations are possible, with a coating to two inches through 10 p.m.

Expect gusty winds up to 30 mph and highs 35 to 38 degrees.

For tonight, expect cloudy skies with some scattered snow showers. Drivers are urged to watch for slick spots and possible black ice. Lows will be between 25 to 30 degrees.

On Wednesday, the storm moves out and behind it is mostly to party cloudy skies with highs 34 to 36 degrees and lows near 25 degrees.

Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies and a high near 39 degrees.

On Friday, News 12 meteorologists are watching a coastal storm that is set to bring periods of rain to the area. Highs will be near 42 degrees.
