A local manufacturer in Deer Park is helping build homes across the region, and it’s all in the family.

At Tri-State Window Factory, every window is made from start to finish under one roof. Vice President Andreas Kypreos has spent nearly 20 years learning the ins and outs of the business and is now helping lead the next generation. “After high school, I came three days a week… I’m always here. I’ve spent a lot of time here,” Kypreos said.

There’s a good chance their work is closer to home than you think, with projects across Long Island and in parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Westchester.

The company’s story dates back decades. Founder John Kypreos immigrated from Greece and started as a window installer. Frustrated with the quality of products available, he taught himself how to make his own in the 1960s, laying out the groundwork for the family business that continues today.

“Coming from Greece and starting the business here, he definitely instilled the work ethic in me,” Kypreos said. “It’s a bit tough at times, but it has paid off.” Now expanding beyond windows into siding, roofing, and doors, the company is continuing to grow while staying rooted in the legacy that started it all.
