From custom cabinets to virtual reality, one Long Island company is taking a different approach to kitchen design.

Cambridge Kitchens has been creating custom kitchens and millwork for more than 20 years. Founder Nick Vassi, who moved to the U.S. from Cyprus, built the business from the ground up and now runs it alongside his daughter, Joanna Vassi.

The family-owned company uses virtual reality technology to give customers a preview of their new space before production begins. "We have the technology to show them exactly how it's going to look in the house, before we start the production," Nick Vassi said.

From digital designs to custom-built cabinets, everything is created in-house at the company's Hicksville facility.

Nick says continuing to innovate while keeping the business in the family is what drives Cambridge Kitchens forward.
