With Valentine's Day just days away, one Great Neck chocolate shop is in full-on sweet mode. At
Krön Chocolatier, everything is made by hand and this is their busiest time of year.
Marnie Ives has been a master crafter of fine Hungarian gourmet chocolates since 1998! She bought the business from the original owner. This business is my baby, and I've been here for 27 years," said Marnie. And Valentine's Day is the busiest day of the year for them. "We're ready. We have pre-orders for over 2,000 boxes of truffles, and we have been working on that since December 23rd," said Marnie.
For more than 30 years, this Long Island staple has been crafting sweets in the old-fashioned way, in small batches, made by hand. Krön Chocolatier first opened in the late '80s with hand-dipped fruit and their signature Budapest crème truffle. Today, they ship nationwide and the shelves are packed with gourmet chocolates, custom gifts, and elaborate baskets -- and it's created right here on site.
From chocolate dipped strawberries and truffles, to chocolates shaped like hearts, this family-run shop is helping Long Islanders share a little love one box at a time!
