A Baldwin teacher who is battling cancer and retiring at the end of the week was honored with a parade Wednesday.
Loved ones and colleagues held a parade through the streets of Baldwin for Mary Malloy, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in September.
"She is a wonderful, wonderful lady," says administrative assistant Jane Hayes. "She is the pride and joy of Baldwin. She is a really special lady. She is giving, generous, sweet and loving."
Malloy worked for the Baldwin School District for 46 years. Thirty five of those years were spent at the high school.
