'Love is the secret': Lake Grove couple celebrates 65 years of marriage

A Lake Grove couple is celebrating a milestone anniversary -- 65 years of marriage.
Dr. Mario and Louise Mangieri renewed their vows Wednesday at The Bristal at Lake Grove. They were joined by their two sons and fellow Bristal residents.
The Mangieri's met in 1951 while serving on the Newman Center Catholic Club's dance committee. Apparently neither of them was interested in each other at first, calling it "love at second sight."
Their first date was at a Newman Club picnic.
Their secret to a lasting marriage?
"Love. Love is the secret," says Mario. "When you love someone, and they deserve it. They're a good person, a wonderful person."
