Long Island's Pat Benatar to be inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Long Island rocker Pat Benatar was selected in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2022.
Benatar joins Eminem, Dolly Parton, the Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Duran Duran, Carly Simon and Lionel Ritchie as this year's inductees.
"I'm very excited and pleased that we get to go in together," Benatar said of going in with her musical partner and husband Neil Giraldo.
Benatar was born in Brooklyn and raised in Lindenhurst.
A four-time Grammy-winner, Benatar is best known for her hits "Love is a Battlefield, "We Belong," "Invincible" and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." She's had two Multi-Platinum albums, five Platinum albums, three Gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles over her career.
The induction ceremony will be Saturday, Nov. 5 in Los Angeles.
