A famous Long Islander helped to make a singer-songwriter's dreams come true, after his new song got some worldwide exposure.

AJ Smith says that it all started when he was going to Long Island to meet his girlfriend's parents for the first time. On the way to see them, she told him that they are super Long Island, "They love the Mets, and they love Billy Joel."

So he wrote a song appropriately titled "Billy Joel."

And Billy Joel gave his seal of approval to AJ Smith, retweeting an article about the new song.
