As the COVID-19 numbers rise across Long Island, the testing lines are
growing ahead of the holiday.
News 12 Long Island was at CityMD in Commack which has a virtual
line.
People can now wait in their car or even at home before they are called
for their appointment.
CityMD said the wait time Thursday was up to 2/12 hours to
get a test.
However, some residents waited in line for hours to get in
the door.
Commack resident Terry Janis' husband and child tested positive
for COVID-19. She's been trying since Monday to get tested.
Janis says she can't get an appointment online, and her local pharmacies
are sold out of the at-home tests.
"I would just like to know why we weren't on top of this,” says Janis.
