Many Long Islanders spent their Labor Day cleaning up after Tropical Storm Ernesto. On Saturday, the storm brought rain and strong winds. Hundreds of trees brought down power lines throughout the Island. Officials from the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) say Ernesto was responsible for close to 128,000 outages. By noon Monday, LIPA reported that all power had been restored. Although there are no more storm-related outages, crews are still cleaning up and making repairs.
