Many Long Islanders remain undecided over which candidates they'll pick in the rapidly approaching Super Tuesday primary.
On the Democratic side, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) was back on the campaign trail Sunday, fresh off his South Carolina win on Saturday. However, the victory may be short-lived.
"Jesse Jackson, in his two aborted attempts to become president of the United States, won both times in South Carolina," says Long Island University political science professor Dr. Stanley Klein.
Klein says one Republican candidate especially has a lot to lose before Feb. 5 in an earlier contest. "Rudy Giuliani has made a big point in Florida, so if he doesn't do well ? it will be a knife to the heart of his campaign."
As New Yorkers and people in more than 20 states prepare to cast their ballots in a little more than a week, some at a Deer Park bagel shop told News 12 Long Island they're still torn between the candidates.
