Long Islanders are pitching in to help local restaurants feed our health care heroes.
Several Patchogue restaurants are teaming up to deliver trays of food daily to workers at Stony Brook and Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue.
Money raised through a GoFundMe will cover the cost of food, delivery and paying staff.
Meanwhile, in Ronkonkona donations to a local pizzeria are also going a long way. Gino's Pizza of Ronkonkoma is calling the effort "Healthcare heroes."
