Memorial Day weekend gas prices are the highest they've been since 2014, according to AAA.
AAA says nearly 42 million Americans are traveling this holiday weekend, which is the highest it's been in over 12 years. About 37 million people will drive to get to their destinations.
Nationwide, the average gas price is $2.97. Here on the island, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.13.
AAA says another 3 million Americans are flying to get to their destinations this weekend, which is 7 percent higher than last year.
