As the calendar turns to 2025, many people are setting their resolutions for the year ahead, and for some, that means hitting the gym.
At Ultimate Gym in Hicksville, the buzz of New Year’s Day saw a number of people committing to their health goals.
However, fitness isn’t the only area where people are focusing their energy this year. The resolutions that people are making are diverse, from personal growth to financial goals.
Lesley Heller, of Roslyn, is focusing on punctuality. "My New Year’s resolution is to be on time to work," she says.
James Schenker, of Jericho, has a broader goal: "Just to live life and try to be good to my family and the people that are in my life." For Schenker, resolutions go beyond self-improvement—they extend to how we engage with the people around us.
Eileen, of Plainview, is taking a more practical approach, hoping to save some money. "Spend less money in the market," she says, pointing to the importance of financial mindfulness in the year ahead.
