Hundreds of Long Islanders gathered at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre for Christmas Mass Monday.
Parishioners tell News 12 they came to St. Agnes to celebrate all they are thankful for this holiday season.
"It's about loving and sharing," says Marlon Mceachnie. "That's what family is about, that's what this cathedral is about."
This is the first time Bishop John Barres is celebrating Mass on Christmas as Bishop of Rockville Centre.
