Early travelers weren?t spared long lines at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma as they tried to beat the Thanksgiving Day rush Wednesday.
Officials estimate 38 million Americans will take to the skies, rails and roads to spend time with loved ones. The crush of people can make traveling stressful, especially by air.
According to experts, fliers should adhere to the 311 rule when it comes to carry-on luggage. The Federal Aviation Administration is allowing three ounce bottles of liquids packed in a one quart plastic bag, and one bag is allowed per person. Many carriers advise customers to arrive at least two hours before flight departure to allow for security check-in.
