Close to 100 Long Islanders set up camp outside the Roosevelt Field Mall Thursday night to get their hands on Apple?s new iPhone.
The iPhone G3 was released on Friday and is said to be twice as fast as the old version. Many people who waited for the phone camped outside the mall for more than 12 hours, but they said the new phone is sure to be worth the wait.
Future iPhone G3 owners said the new phone does everything. They said it performs the function of an iPod, plus allows owners to view photos and surf the Internet at a very fast speed.
The new technology doesn?t come cheap. People wishing to purchase an iPhone G3 should be ready to shell out a minimum of $200.
