If New Year's Eve in Times Square doesn't appeal to you, there are plenty of alternatives here on Long Island.
Some are taking in a special New Year's Eve show -- Stomp at the Patchogue Theater.
"It allows the audience to draw in, and you guys can interact with us, so we can interact with you guys," says Jasmine Joyner, a performer in Stomp. "It's a lot of music and movement. It's just great."
Others can ring in the new year by going back in time and catch an '80s show at The Paramount in Huntington.
"Jesse's Girl will come on at 10 and play through midnight. We'll do a champagne toast and you'll get to hear all of your favorite '80s hits," says Adam Ellis, of The Paramount. "They'll do Rick Springfield's Jesse's Girl, Roxette, they'll do all the hits everyone likes to sing along to."
There are also plenty of of free events, like one on Main Street in Patchogue with food and music. They'll drop their version of the ball and shoot off fireworks.
