Long Island Marathon kicks off Friday with new course, food trucks

The marathon was canceled last year due to the pandemic, and pushed back from May this year to allow more participants to get vaccinated.

Runners from across the world will be racing to Eisenhower Park this weekend for the Long Island Marathon.  
The marathon was canceled last year due to the pandemic, and pushed back from May this year to allow more participants to get vaccinated.
Officials say this year's marathon weekend is expected to be bigger than ever with an expanded food truck festival and first-ever concert series.

The 48th annual Long Island Marathon weekend gets underway Friday and runs through Sunday.
