One person was killed during a crash early Thursday morning on the Northern State Parkway in Dix Hills, according to police.
Police say it happened just after 6 a.m.
Police have identified the driver killed as 21-year-old Osmond Duarte.
They say he was driving a commercial flatbed truck when he lost control and struck the median.
All lanes eastbound at Exit 41 were closed following the accident. They have since been reopened.
They say Duarte died at the scene.
