Long Island families of 9/11 victims gathered at the federal courthouse in Central Islip Thursday to watch as confessed al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui took the stand in his own defense.
Moussaoui blasted his attorneys and says he doesn?t trust them because they are American and Jewish. Moussaoui added the defense?s argument that he is mentally unstable is untrue and that execution would be martyrdom and considered a reward. He says he feels no remorse and enjoys hearing accounts of American suffering.
Many family members of victims say Moussaoui is completely evil and deserves to be put to death. Others say they are happy whether he is executed or spends his life in prison.
