Flower and candy shops across Long Island are preparing for a big rush come Valentine's Day.
They tell News 12 it's the busiest season for orders - second only to Mother's Day.
Some businesses say they've even added extra workers this week to help deal with the high volume of online orders and deliveries.
According to a survey by the National Retail Federation (NRF), the average consumer plans to spend approximately $189, marking an increase of about $3 over last year's average.
