Long Island is home to some of the best food around - famous for our pizza and bagels. But now, one Long Beach restaurant is in the running for the best burger our state can offer!

Black Door Burger is a finalist in a statewide competition by the New York Beef Council to find the best burger.

Tucked away behind the Long Beach Sandwich Company on West Beach Street, burgers are served through a backdoor late at night on weekends.

And there's only one option.

“The only thing you can do is take stuff off of it. No additives. Comes one way. It's a 4 ounce patty smashed, red onion, tomato and red light sauce on a Martin's potato roll,” says Frank Monteforte, of Black Door Burger.
