Young patients at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park got a chance to meet their favorite superheroes. It was part of the hospital's first-ever "Cohen Con."
Children with cancer and others from various medical units took turns hanging out and playing games with dozens of their favorite cartoon characters.
Parents say the interactive event helps their little ones in many ways.
"This is great for the kids. It gets them out of their rooms to play," explained parent Adam Iglesia, of New Hyde Park
The hospital plans to host the event every year for guests, patients and their families.
