Homeowners in Long Beach can expect to start paying more in taxes.
The Long Beach City Council passed a budget worth over $100 million and that will raise residential property taxes almost 10%.
The increase will cost the average homeowner about $462 a year.
Although taxes are going up, the original proposed hike was more than 2% higher - saving homeowners about $100.
The new budget goes into effect July 1.
