Nearly one year after it was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, the famous Long Beach Boardwalk is set to fully reopen.
The construction of the project cost $44.2 million. The city began reopening smaller sections of the boardwalk in July.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday at 3 p.m. reopening the entire 2.2-mile boardwalk.
Long Beach officials are now trying to determine how much of the project will be paid for by FEMA.
