The Department of Education is set to announce which schools in the Bronx are still dangerous and which schools are improving.Last year, several schools in the borough made the department's "persistently dangerous" list. The classification means incidents such as arson, assault, robbery and weapons possession are an ongoing issue. The Lewis and Clark School in Westchester Square was one of 17 schools in the state that made the list last year.Education Commissioner Richard Mills said the main goal is to ensure the safety of all children. He also insisted that all schools must accurately report violent incidents.Collecting accurate information for the department's list is required under the No Child Left Behind Act.
