Bus lines, airports and the Long Island Rail Road are trying to get back on track after the fourth nor’easter of the month dropped more than a foot of snow on parts of Long Island.
The railroad warned that conditions "may impact service," even though crews worked through the night to remove snow and ice from the rails. It has been on or close to schedule so far today.
Nassau's NICE Bus system suspended all service last night due to "impassable" road conditions. Most lines are back in service today with delays, but there are still a few suspensions.
Suffolk buses and SCAT service are back on a regular schedule, but some delays should be expected.
There are over 150 cancellations and delays at John F. Kennedy Airport and about 200 at LaGuardia International Airport. MacArthur also had cancellations. Anyone flying today should check the status of their flight.
