A Long Island Rail Road train collided with an automobile in Mineola Thursday evening, causing delays during the evening commute.
The train struck the car at Roslyn Road around 6 p.m. Three Good Samaritans rescued a 63-year-old woman right before the train struck.
Service on the Ronkonkoma, Oyster Bay and Main lines was suspended east of Jamaica for less than one hour. Full service was restored after about two hours.
