LIRR: Service resumes between Jamaica, Mineola after person is struck on tracks

The LIRR says service has been fully restored on its Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson and Oyster Bay branches after a train struck an unauthorized person on the tracks west of New Hyde Park earlier today.

The LIRR says service has been fully restored on its Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson and Oyster Bay branches after a train struck an unauthorized person on the tracks west of New Hyde Park earlier today.

The railroad says it is now operating on or close to schedule systemwide.

The identity of the person who was struck has not been released.
