The Long Island Rail Road is on track to have its worst on-time performance record in 19 years.
The railroad's overall on-time performance in July was 88.9 percent.
The number is down from the same month in 2017, when 93.1 percent of trains were on time.
Figures could drop even more once August is calculated.
That's when the railroad experienced several major rush-hour disruptions caused by lightning strikes, switch problems and train shortages.
