There is new help for Long Islanders struggling to put food on the table this holiday season.
Hundreds of pounds of food donated by LIRR employees was delivered today to the Ronkonkoma train station and picked up by Island Harvest.
The food pantry says sponsors like the railroad are the only reason it can help as many people as it does.
Food insecurity on Long Island has hit an all-time high during the pandemic.
