Service has been restored on the LIRR's Huntington/Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma and Oyster Bay branches after an apparent "switch problem" was resolved.

LIRR switch troubles cause delays during Friday evening commute
The Friday evening commute was a hectic one for those who relied on the Long Island Rail Road.
Service was restored on the LIRR's Huntington/Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma and Oyster Bay branches after an apparent "switch problem" was resolved. Service was temporarily suspended in both directions.
Despite the problem being cleared up, the LIRR said to expect cancellations and delays into Friday evening.
