A bomb threat caused delays on the Long Island Rail Road's Montauk line Sunday morning, but authorities say the threat turned out to be a hoax.
A call about a bomb on a train came in just before 8 a.m. while a train was stopped at the East Hampton Village station.
The train had left Montauk at 7:04 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Jamaica at 9:58 a.m.
Service was delayed while authorities investigated. Buses were provided to accommodate passengers on the affected train, according to the LIRR's Twitter account.
