LIRR adds extra trains for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Commuters heading into the city for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will have more trains available.
The Long Island Rail Road says they have an extra 20 westbound trains Saturday morning and 18 eastbound trains in the afternoon.
No alcohol will be allowed on the trains, platforms or stations from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until 5 p.m. Sunday.
MTA Police will be on patrol throughout the day.
