LIPA discussed its fiscal year 2025 budget at a board meeting in Uniondale Wednesday, which includes a $7 increase in power bills for residential customers.
LIPA's acting CEO tells News 12 that the increase is due to debt service requirements, and the higher cost of power supply.

LIPA will vote on the final budget at its next meeting, following public comment sessions on Nov. 25 and 26.
