Merrick native Lindsay Lohan was released from formal probation today during a court appearance in California. The 25-year-old actress will no longer have to go to court or report to a parole officer.

Merrick native Lindsay Lohan was released from formal probation today during a court appearance in California.
The 25-year-old actress will no longer have to go to court or report to a parole officer. Lohan has done several stints in rehab and jail since a 2007 drunken driving arrest.
Lohan will remain on informal probation until May 2014, stemming from taking a necklace without permission last year. If the actress gets into trouble before then, she will face 245 days in jail.
